Personal Statement of Mission

Leadership. Trust. Growth. Empathy. Support. Community.

As a student affairs practitioner, I am committed to maintaining my personal values within my professional practice. I plan to create and contribute to a cohesive and inclusive community at an institution that values the integration of academic and co-curricular experiences. I will maintain my belief in the power of relationships within student development, and I will work to always advocate for students’ personal and academic development, growth, identity, and lifelong success. I am committed to empowering students to become advocates for change within themselves, and within society. I will challenge students to explore the deeper meaning of their experiences inside and outside of the classroom, and support them in their efforts to identify their own values and goals. I will always put forth the effort to be a role model as a leader, and will work with students to discover their own capacity as leaders, and as contributors to a greater community.
